Noah Nochasak and Jerry Kobalenko took the first steps of a 550-kilometre walk on Tuesday morning.
24-year Nochasak is well known for his adventures throughout Nunatsiavut.
He ventured to Hebron this past summer in a Kayak he constructed himself.
This time around Nochasak is leaving his Kayak at home and traveling by foot.
He is walking from Nain to kangidlualudjuak, Nunavik.
Fellow adventurer, Jerry Kobalenko, is also joining Nochasak for the trek.
The anticipated route is around 550 kilometres in length.
He expects the walk to take four to five weeks depending on weather conditions.
