‘Cops n’ Robbers’ Take Top Spot at Billy Quak

The ‘Cops n’ Robbers’ team took the tops spot at the 20th Annual Billy Quak Memorial Ball Hockey Tournament over the weekend.

Megan Andersen was one of the organizers.

She says the Makkovik team beat out five other teams for first place.

Makkovik’s ‘Tupilik A’ team claimed second place.

Third place went to the ‘Postville Team’.

Andersen says Jessica Winters of ‘Tupilik A’ was named the female MVP.

Amos Fox of Makkovik’s ‘Loud Assassins’ took the same honour in the male category.

Tracy-Anne Evans of the ‘Cracker Jacks’ team was named the most sportsmanlike female.

Jake Andersen of ‘Tupilik A’ was named the most sportsmanlike male player.

The most effective players were Joanne Jacque of the ‘Postville Team’ and Malcolm Wolfrey of ‘Tupilik A’.

Errol Andersen of ‘Cops n’ Robbers’ was named the top goalie.

Megan says it was another great year for the Billy Quak Memorial Ball Hockey Tournament.
