MHA Edmunds On Caribou Hunting Concerns (Audio)

The MHA for the Torngat Mountains district is concerned that hunters from outside of the province are not following the conservation measures put in place on the George River caribou herd.

MHA Randy Edmunds believes there are outside hunters who are taking as many animals as they please from the declining herd.

The provincial government added additional conservation measures last month to combat the decline.

Edmunds believes government needs to do more to address the hunters who he believes aren’t following the conservation measures.
