DHSD Mitt-Making Workshop Taking Place

The Department of Health and Social Development in Nain will be holding a Mitt-Making workshop this month.
Shirley Jararuse is the Community Health worker with DHSD.

She says this workshop is for adults 25 years of age and older.
It’s also for those who have never made a pair of mitts before.
Preference will be given to those who have not taken similar workshops.
Jararuse says this workshop will start on January 26th, each Monday & Wednesday evening, at the DHSD multipurpose room.

It will possibly run 6 weeks, depending on completion of the mitts.

Jararuse says they have all seats filled.

The instructor will be Karrie Obed, and Shirley Jararuse will be assisting him.

Funding for this workshop came from the Nain DHSD, which approved funding for materials.

Once each person has completed their mitts, they can keep them for their own use.

We will have another update on the mitt-making workshop next week.
