Young Men’s Day Celebration in Nain

Young men are celebrating their special day in the community of Nain on Wednesday.

Joshua Jack is one of the AngajukKâks for Young Men’s Day.

He says there are fourteen young men taking part in the celebration.

Ten of them are first timers.

The participants met at the community hall bright and early Wednesday morning to prepare for the special occasion.

The day includes three church services for the young men.

The celebrations also include two feasts for the young men at dinner and supper.

The parents of the first timers were also treated to a meal.

The young men will be sporting their traditional clothing throughout all of the celebrations which includes a formal suit, silipak, decorated caps and their red ribbons.

Jack says he would like to thank all of the people who made young men’s day possible including Vale and Labrador Investments.
