With the winter games held by the Aboriginal Sports and Recreation Circle getting closer, badminton tryouts are available for Indigenous youth.
Mike Alexander is the Team Indigenous NL Coordinator and the Badminton coach.
Alexander says he takes a lot of enjoyment in helping to see others excel to their maximum potential, especially good when you see people from small communities to get on a bigger stage, and they shine and they’re able to show what they’re capable of.
The Winter games is in Gander, NL
First tryouts will be in a Selection camp in Makkovik, and the second tryouts second will be in Goose Bay.
