The weather conditions have postponed the 2012 Winter sports meet in Rigolet.
The event was scheduled to begin in the community on Thursday.
Athletes from each of the coastal communities and Sheshatshiu come together to compete in a number of sports during the meet.
Jessica Letto is the Gym teacher at the Northern Lights Academy.
She says they hope to begin on Friday if the weather conditions allow the athletes to make it into the community.
