The Techsploration Orientation to Trades and Technology program is being offered for the second time at the College of the North Atlantic campus in Goose Bay.
The TOTT program is funded by Hibernia oil and gas.
Tonia Pilgrim is the Career and Community Development Coordinator with Women in Resource Development Corporation.
The TOTT program was last offered in HVGB in 2012.
Right now there aren’t enough women registered in this program.
In order to run the program, they need at least 13 women participating.
Right now there are 11 women registered in the program.
Pilgrim says to be eligible you must have the following criteria: be women between the age of 17-25 years, and have completed high school.
This 13 week course will focus on hands-on training, personal development, essential work skills, workplace experience and exploration of the natural resource sector.
There is no date set yet, as the program won’t begin until all 13 applicants are registered.
Interested applicants must have their own living allowance and accommodations.
