Essay And Short Story Contest

The Department of Health and Social Development in Nain is holding an Essay Writing and Short Story Contest for youth ages 12-18.

Shirley Jararuse is the Community Health Worker.

She says May 31st is World No-Tobacco Day.

World Health Organization and partners mark World No Tobacco Day (WNTD), highlighting the health risks associated with tobacco use, and advocating for effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption.

Jararuse says youth can write an essay or short story about their thoughts on:

Why smoking is bad for you and others around you;

Or if you have a bad experience from smoking that you would like to share that would be beneficial to others.

There will be a prize awarded for the contest.

Monster N-Tune headphones will be given to the winner.
