Terry Audla is the newly-elected President of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami.
The Nunavut native became the leader of Canada’s National Inuit Organization on Wednesday.
The election took place during ITK’s annual general meeting in kujjuuaq, Nunavik.
He was one of two candidates in the running for the position.
Audla received 12 votes to the other candidate’s one.
He will serve a term of three years.
