Shave for the Brave 2013 is taking place this evening at the K-12 Jens Haven Memorial School (JHMS).
The event will take place at 7 pm at the JHMS Gym.
Julia Andersen is the team leader.
She says there are 7 participants who will have their head shaved.
Andersen says the two volunteers that will shave the heads are Tracy Denniston and Kristie Howell.
She says an estimated two thousand dollars plus was raised from the pledges from the participants.
All money raised goes towards the Young Adult Cancer Society in Canada.
