The 27th Annual Trout Festival in Makkovik has started today.
Here is the schedule of events for tomorrow Wednesday, August 9:
At 12 pm, a Family and Friends Sand Sculpture Contest takes place at Ranger Bight Beach.
A trophy will be given for the best sculpture.
Juice and barbequed items will be for sale.
DHSD Bingo is a go at 6 pm at the Community Hall.
At 7:30, there will be Zombie Chase for all ages.
For those wanting to play, everyone has to meet at the Makkovik Town Council Office.
If you want to be a zombie, you’re asked to wear black, and wear white if you wish to be fresh meat.
A Pairs Crib Tournament for ages 19 and up will take place from 9 pm-12 am, and the registration is free.
The 1st place prize is $200.
