Pancake Breakfast Goes Tomorrow In Goose Bay

The annual Community Pancake Breakfast is going ahead tomorrow at the College of the North Atlantic in Happy Valley Goose Bay.

Housing and homelessness is a big issue in Upper lake Melville and Labrador.

This pancake breakfast is to help raise money for those who are in need of support for housing or homelessness issues.

Scott Hudson is the Housing Support worker with the Labrador Friendship Center.

Hudson says the pancake breakfast will start at 7 am and go until 9am.

He says the money raised will go towards the emergency housing fund.

The price for a regular pancake breakfast is $5.

This includes a pancake, sausage, and tea, juice or coffee.

They are looking for donations of berries for the pancakes.

Berries can be donated to the Labrador friendship center.

There will also be performers at the event.

Garry and Jennifer Mitchell, Richard Neville and Jacinda Beals will be performing.

This year you can buy a paper pancake at the front door.

Your name goes on the pancake and it’s placed on a wall.

The pancakes sell for a dollar, with proceeds also going to the emergency housing fund.

So come out and show your support for a great cause.
