OTT Prepares Women for a Future in Trades

A group of women have a greater understanding of various trades after graduating from the Orientation to Trades and Technology program.

Dinah Pitre-Payne is the Coordinating Instructor for the OTT program.

She says nine students graduated from the program in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Wednesday afternoon.

The students first began the 16-week program in early-January.

Pitre-Payne says the program was quite a success considering the future goals of the young ladies.

Eight of the nine graduates have already applied to a trade program in September.
