North Coast Thanksgiving Day Sales Successful

Several Thanksgiving Day sales took place on the North Coast this weekend.

Dorothy Ford is the Treasurer for the Moravian Church in Nain.

She says they raised $656.90 at the Thanks Giving Day sale.

They sold char, smoked char, cod fish, baked goods, berries, bake apples and clothes.

Ford says the money collected will go towards the Moravian church, and for heating oil.

We also spoke to Martha Winters- Abel, who is the Lay Pastor for the Moravian Church in Hopedale.

She says they raised $1,898.00 at the Thanksgiving Day sale.

Winters- Abel says they sold char, geese, ukaliks, baked goods, a box of wood, and other items.

The money collected will go towards the Moravian church, and for heating oil.
