The Nigivik Centre is busy preparing for their programs with the Department of Health & Social Development.
We contacted Shelley Dicker who is the Community Food Worker with the Nunatsiavut Government.
She says they are planned for a Father’s Day Brunch tomorrow, June 14 at 10-11:30 for all fathers and grandfathers.
She also says they will be making cinnamon twists on Monday or Tuesday.
She would like to notify the public that instead of doing monthly schedules, they will be planning weekly programs, and are looking for people who are looking to do programs and get paid for the day.
Dicker adds that she will be busy with helping for the barbecue for the National Indigenous Peoples Day on the 21st with the Nain DHSD.
