A by-election took place yesterday in Hopedale for a new AngajukKâk.
Voting took place from 8 am to 8 pm at the polling station in the Hopedale Inuit Community Government building.
The numbers are as follows for the three candidates: Marjorie Flowers – 108 votes, Sandra Boone – 70 votes, and James Tuttauk – 52 votes.
Marjorie Flowers is the newly-elected AngajukKâk for the town of Hopedale.
