The Town of Rigolet will be getting its first fire hall.
The construction for the fire hall will begin this month.
Melva Allen is the Chief Administration Officer for the Rigolet Inuit Community Government.
Allen says that Lat49 Architects, formally known as Sheppard Case Architects Inc., are the contractors.
Allen says at the moment they do have a fire pumper truck and a pick up truck that respond to any fire emergencies within the community.
Construction of the fire hall is expected to take one year.
Allen adds that Lat49 is also the construction company that started building the Mutli Purpose Center in that community last year.
The Multi Purpose Center is due to be completed in December.
