The Amos Comenius Memorial School (ACMS) Nanuit Girl’s team will be returning home today from the A Girl’s Volleyball Provincials in King’s Cove with gold medals.
The Nanuit won against the host team, St. Marks School, in the second set of the finals by a score of 25-12.
This is the ACMS girl’s first ever provincial title.
The girls made their community and all of Nunatsiavut proud by coming home with the A championship banner.
Hopedale is planning on greeting the Nanuit with a parade that will head to the ACMS gymnasium, where the girls will sign the banner and raise it.
