It was a weekend full of great competition during the fourth annual Community Youth Network and Mr. Volleyball Tournament in Nain.
Lisa Ivany is Nain’s Recreation Director.
She says the ‘Block Magic’ team from Nain came first in the female category.
‘Nicky’s Team’, also from Nain, came first in the male category.
The ‘Hopedale Boys’ came in second place.
And the ‘Inukness’ team from Nain came second out of the female teams.
The ‘Makkovik Boys’ and ‘Hopedale Girls’ both came in third place.
Ivany says the Most Valuable Players were Nicky Okkuatsiak from Nain and Jessica Winters from Makkovik.
Reginald Maggo and Dorothy Angnatok, both from Nain, were named the Most Sportsmanlike players.
‘Juliana’s Team’ from Makkovik was named the most sportsmanlike team.
Ivany says she would like to thank everybody who helped make this year’s tournament such a huge success.
