The Nain Inuit Community Government is reporting an improvement in the quality of the tap water around the town.
AngajukKak Tony Andersen says residents have noticed an improvement in all areas of the community.
The town’s crews were flushing the waterlines late into Monday night.
Andersen says they’re confident the quality of the water will continue to improve throughout the day.
The NICG did not resort to their backup plan of connecting to another source of water.
Andersen says that step will be taken if the water quality begins to decline again.
He adds that the boil water order remains in place until further notice.
