Nain home owners have only two days left to pay their unpaid water and sewer taxes before they’re cut off.
Tony Andersen is the AngajukKak of the Inuit Community Government.
He says a letter was sent to the home owners a couple of weeks ago to notify them that their running water will be cut off if they don’t pay their taxes.
There were letters sent to 92 home owners which said the deadline to pay their bill is tomorrow- Friday, October 12.
Andersen says the town has been receiving some payments over the last two days, but could not say how many had paid.
He says the towns deadline to cut off water is still Monday, October 15.
According to Andersen, that will happen Monday morning.
