Graduates of the Jens Haven Memorial School in Nain are the first from the north coast to don their dresses and tuxedos.
Their graduation ceremony is taking place on Saturday.
Heather Denine is one of the graduation committee members.
She says there are 14 students graduating this year.
The celebrations begin with a church service on Saturday afternoon at 3 pm.
Then it’s up to the school for the graduation ceremony.
There is no theme picked out for this year’s grad, just the colours Lavender, Leaf Green and Navy Blue.
Nunavut Sivuniksavut Graduate, Silpa Suarak, is this year’s guest speaker.
