Makkovik’s new youth centre is expected to be completed by the end of this month.
Terry Rice is the Chief Administrative Officer for the Makkovik Inuit Community Government.
He says the Makkovik Hall of Youth is around 95 percent complete.
The facility will contain a multi-purpose room which will be used for meetings, workshops, sports and games.
Rice expects construction on the facility to be completed by the end of June.
A grand opening is scheduled for the fall.
Funding for the Makkovik Hall of Youth was provided by the Nunatsiavut Government.
