The fourth annual Elder’s Conference has been rescheduled for the fall.
Heather Angnatok is the Administrator with the Nunatsiavut Government’s Division of Youth and Elders.
She says the conference was scheduled to take place in Hopedale in March.
They decided to postpone the event because of the community’s water problems this past spring.
Angnatok says the conference will be held in the community this fall once their water problems have been fully addressed.
The event brings together Inuit elders from throughout Nunatsiavut and the Upper Lake Melville.
