The Makkovik fishermen have landed 786,385lbs of crab to this date.
Junior Andersen is the Production Manager for the plant.
He says they are trying to reach the 800,000 pound of crab mark for this season.
Andersen says there are three crab boats harvesting crab, and there are eighty employees working at the plant.
In Nain fish plant Deidi Kolhmeister is the Office Supervisor.
She says 7,858lbs of char has been landed to this date.
Kolhmeister says there are eight fishermen and eighteen employees working at the plant.
She adds the char season closes on August 13th.
