The Jens Haven Memorial School Huskies of Nain, NL competed in the Table Tennis Provincials Tournament last week.
Miss Darlene Holwell was the coach, and escorted the Huskies to Pilley’s Island, NL on February 15th, 2017.
They played in the team event on Friday, February 17th, 2017.
The Huskies came 2nd, winning silver in the team event.
On Saturday, they played in the individual events.
Seth Dicker came 2nd in individual boy’s singles.
Taylor Ivany and Kirsten Dicker came 3rd in girl’s doubles.
James Dicker and Jeremy Holwell came 3rd in boy’s doubles
Seth Dicker and Kirsten Dicker came 2nd in mixed doubles.
The Huskies girls came 3rd in girl’s singles.
Kirsten Dicker won Most-Sportsmanlike player.
Skylar Hurley from Sheshashiu represented Labrador, and came 2nd in girl’s singles.
There were 6 schools competing in the Table Tennis Provincials, and Jens Haven Memorial School captured 2nd place.
