Five Junior Canadian Rangers will be travelling to Goose Bay once the weather clears for a Basic Summer camp.
Heather Angnatok is the Patrol Leader for the JCR’s in Nain.
Angnatok says this will be a fun event for the JCR’s.
Activities will include kayaking, canoeing, on-field training, and other fun sports.
One member of the Junior Canadian Rangers, Chase Howell, will also be travelling to Happy Valley-Goose Bay for leadership training.
Once that training is done, she will be heading back to Goose Bay to help work with the Basic camp.
Angnatok says that one Canadian Ranger from Nain, Kris Shiwak, will also be heading out with the JCR’s to help at the camp.
She added that while school is out, the JCRS aren’t having any get-togethers, but once school is started, they will be advertising for anyone interested in applying to the program.
