At the 2010 Nunavut Language Symposium, the Inuit youth delegates made a powerful presentation on the status of Inuktitut within their generation.
This presentation called for a number of specific steps to assist them in their Inuktitut learning and development.
One of these recommendations called for the creation of Inuktitut language learning tools for the popular Ipod Touch, Iphone and Ipad devices.
The release of this application marks a milestone not only for learners of the Inuktitut language, but also for the support of Inuktitut on the new, extremely popular mobile devices.
The app will contain many of the features available on the regular Tusaalanga website: www.tusaalanga.ca
The app also contains new features not available on the tusaalanga.ca website, such as a Romanized Inuktitut to syllabic text converter, and a personal glossary feature.
