On January 2nd a family lost their home to a house fire.
On Saturday one individual from the town is getting everyone together to help out the family.
That individual is Dorothy Angnatok.
She says that she started off as one person trying to help this family and now she has everyone involved.
She asked stores for donations, and posted on Facebook that any donations would be appreciated.
Angnatok says that there is a turkey being sent up from Goose-bay.
Money was also donated.
Clothes are even welcome to be dropped off.
On Saturday at 12pm there will be a coldplate fundraiser for the family.
Angnatok says that anymore donations would be appreciated.
She would also like to add that its amazing how much can be accomplished when everyone comes together.
Angnatok says thank you to everyone for the donations and help.
And that it’s very much appreciated by the family who lost their home.
