The Makkovik Inuit Community Government is hoping construction will begin on the community’s new fire hall this fall.
Terry Rice is the Town Manager for the MICG.
He says they’re still waiting on the designs for the $1.3 million facility.
The MICG will then put out the tender for the project once the designs are received.
Rice says they hope construction will begin this fall.
The new facility will be constructed on the same lot as the current fire hall.
