Coastal Community Freezer Update

The OKâlaKatiget Society Radio Producers contacted the north coast community freezers to see what they have.

In Rigolet, Lisa Palliser- Bennett is the Coordinator for Food First.

She says they have salt fish and cod fillets.

In Makkovik, Herb Jacque is AngajukKâk.

He says they have red berries, cod fish and char.

In Hopedale, Julianna Flowers is the Coordinator for NiKijavut Hopedelimi.

She says they have smoked char, dried char, salmon, and moose meat.

In Nain, Regina Dicker is the Coordinator for Food First.

She says they have char, seal meat, black bear meat, and smoked char as well.

They don’t have anything in the Postville community freezer at the moment.
