The 12th Annual Rhubarb Festival in Hopedale is scheduled to start today.
At 5 pm there will be a VALE Community BBQ held at the Nanuk Community Centre.
Hamburgers, hotdogs and refreshments will be provided by VALE.
And at 6 pm, a Fire Department Fireman’s Challenge will take place outside, in front of the fire hall.
Teams are to be made up of four people, two female and two male.
The teams also have to have one person from each of the following age groups:
16 to 25, 26 to 39, 40-49, and 50 and up.
It costs $10 per person to play, and there will be cash prizes.
