There have been 14 confirmed cases of Tuberculosis (TB) in Nain since October 2014.
That is according to Dr. David Allison, the Chief Medical Officer of Health for Eastern Health.
He says TB is a bacterial infection that can be quite serious in many people, and at any age.
TB can be a complicated disease, because it doesn’t run a quick course like many other illnesses do.
Allison says it is a disease that can cause infection in many people, and most people won’t show any signs of the disease for many years.
