It’s a tradition for all young boys to celebrate their young men’s day festival once they turn 15 years old.
We spoke with Gabriel Suarak one of the coordinators this year’s festival.
Suarak says this year there are 13 young men who are eligible to have their day.
They held their first meeting on Tuesday January 8 at the Jeremias Sillitt Community Centre.
He is encouraging those who haven’t had their first Boy’s Day to celebrate with them.
The second meeting will be held today at 3:30pm at the Nunatsiavut Government meeting room.
