Kids Eat Smart Raises Nearly $400,000 Through Radiothon on VOCM.
Children in schools across the province will have an opportunity to enjoy a nutritious breakfast thanks to the Kids Eat Smart Foundation who raised more than $379,500 as the result of a radiothon on the VOCM Radio Network this afternoon.
VOCM hosts took to the airwaves Wednesday afternoon from the Avalon Mall, helping to raise awareness and funds for the worthy cause.
Executive Director of Kids Eat Smart, Celina Stoyles, her voice breaking with emotion, expressed her thanks for all the support received.
“We’re truly humbled,” she said as her voice caught.
“We could not do this without our donors.”
She offered her thanks to all those who supported the program on behalf of the children of Newfoundland and Labrador who are going to enjoy breakfast at school.
