A Women’s Self Defence workshop was held in Makkovik last year and was offered in Postville this October.
Now it will be offered in Nain in December.
Tracy Ann Evans-Rice is the Status of Women Coordinator.
She says the workshop will be held in Nain on December 6 to7, 2014.
The defense training is called Wenlido E.A.S.T. which stands for Empowerment, Assertiveness, and Self-defense Training for women.
Evans-Rice says the workshop will be held at the JHMS Primary School gym from 9 am to 4 pm each day.
The instructor will be Patrina Beals, and Evans-Rice will be there to assist her.
Some women have already registered, and there are limited seats available.
She says those who are interested and want to learn simple self defence techniques can still sign up by contacting Tracy Ann Evans-Rice.
