Postville Department of Health and Social Development are holding their annual Winter Active week.
We spoke with Grant Gear, a Community Health Worker with DHSD.
The Winter Active Week began on Monday April 13 and will end on Friday April 17.
DHSD has been planning a weeklong festival challenging families to get outside and be active.
Gear says on Monday, they had a family snow shoeing event around town.
Then on Tuesday, they played soccer at the BL Morrison School.
On Wednesday, beginning at 6:30 pm, they held a family walk to Big Point.
On Thursday, a family sliding at the top of Sunshine Hill began at 6:30 pm.
The festival ends with a dinner today at 12 noon inside the Rec Hall.
The dinner is for anyone who participated in any event this week.
The festival brings out many families and has been very successful in the past.
Gear says each night they hand out prizes to participants.
He adds big thanks go out to everyone participating.
