Wellness and Healing Program Updates

The Department of Health and Social Development are busy with their regular programs.

Elsie Russell is the Mental Health and Addictions Councillor with DHSD.

She says starting at 7 pm tonight, the Coffee House Program called “What makes you Strong” will go ahead at the Nigivik Centre, and there is no age limit.

Every Thursdays from 12-1 pm is the Power Hour Walk along with a healthy snack at the Jeremias Sillitt Community Centre.

And every Wednesday nights are Parenting Programs from 6-8 pm at DHSD.

The Anxiety Group Program will begin again on Monday, October 21 from 3-4 pm at the DHSD along with the LG Health Councillor Courtney.

Soon there will be a Family Paint Night for Halloween in the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out for this activity.
