Vale is excited to introduce this year’s Job Readiness Training Program (JRTP).
They will be here today, April 3 at the Nunatsiavut Administration Building from 2 pm to 4 pm.
They will be visiting Nain today to give an overview of the program with a presentation and a one on one interview.
So don’t forget to bring your resume along.
If you don’t have one, don’t worry, they will help create one for you.
The program includes a 10 day visit to the mine site to gain exposure to five of their operational departments: Mine, Mine Maintenance, Mill, Site Services and Warehouse, along with hands-on and classroom training, all while experiencing life at Voisey’s Bay.
After the visit, there is a potential opportunity for a nine month employment with Vale in one of those departments.
They will have another information session again tomorrow Tuesday, April 4, once again at the Nunatsiavut Administration Building from 2 to 4 pm, and again from 7 to 9 pm.
There will be refreshments and a door prize.
