Two black bears that were getting a little too brave were killed near the community of Nain Thursday.
Simon Kohlmeister is the community’s Conservation Officer.
He says he shot and killed two black bears at Nain’s dump Thursday.
The animals were spotted around the community a number of times throughout the week.
Kohlmeister says he even received a report of the bears chasing people in an area of the community across the bridge.
The Conservation Officer believes the bears were becoming too brave because residents of the town have been feeding them.
Kohlmeister is reminding people not to feed the wild animals.
