Torngat Regional Housing Association will be holding their Annual General Meeting next week in Nain.
We spoke with William Lucy, the TRHA’s Coordinator.
He says the Annual General Meeting will be held in Nain this year on June 2-3.
The delegates will be selecting the recipients of new homes during the gathering.
Lucy says right now, Rigolet will have one home allocated, and they will do their inspections for repairs tomorrow.
In Hopedale, 2 new homes will be allocated.
Tracy Dicker and Ashley Abel will be getting a 2 bedroom home, and Julius Ford and Kathy Abel will be receiving a 3 bedroom home.
Lucy says he will be traveling to Nain on June 1 for the AGM.
The Nain Housing Committee has not made their selections for new homes for this year yet; but he adds after the AGM there should be a selection.
The Nain committee has also made this year’s selections for repairs.
Inspections for repairs will be done after the AGM.
In Postville, they don’t have their selection for repairs done yet, and there are no new homes being built in that community this year.
For Makkovik, Lucy says they haven’t heard back from the Makkovik TRHA committee members about new homes or repairs yet.
