It was a good season in the fishery for both Nain and Makkovik.
Keith Watts is the General Manager for Torngat Fish Producers Cooperative.
He says snow crab and turbot were landed at the Makkovik fish plant.
The commercial char fisherpersons landed their catch in Nain.
Watts says both plants received their new processing equipment last fall, and this summer they used that equipment.
He says a whelk survey was conducted in Nain to see if there was enough for a fishery to be started there.
Watts says Torngat Fisheries Board of Directors will hold their meeting in November.
