Solar Eclipse Times for Goose Bay and Nain

People around the world will have an opportunity to see a rare event today.

A total solar eclipse is scheduled to start today.

Here are the times for Nain:

The start of the eclipse is at 2:43 pm; the sun will be 25 percent covered.

The maximum eclipse time should be at 3:39 pm, and the end of the eclipse will be 4:32 pm.

In Happy Valley Goose Bay:

The start of the eclipse is at 2:43 pm; the sun there should be 29 percent covered.

The maximum eclipse is at 3:42 pm, and it will end at 4:38 pm.

You cannot look directly at an eclipse.

It is very important to use proper eye protection, or some kind of eclipse viewer, if you’d like to look at it firsthand.

You also can’t shoot it with a camera without a solar filter on it.

And do not view an eclipse through binoculars.
