The Salmon Festival is underway in Rigolet.
Melva Williams, one of the festival’s committee members, says they kicked off this year’s celebrations with a Mardi Gras parade on Wednesday.
This is the tenth year for the annual celebration.
Williams says a large number of visitors arrived in the community on the last Northern Ranger for the festivities.
