The 29th annual RCMP volleyball tournament will be starting tomorrow evening at 5:30 at the Amos Comenius Memorial School Gym in Hopedale.
Clara Winters work with the Hopedale RCMP detachment.
She says that in total there are 7 women’s teams and 4 men’s teams.
There’s one men’s team and 1 women’s team from Natuashish, and the rest are local.
The RCMP put together a team this year for the first time in 20 years.
They are raising money for the Ground Search and Rescue team for Spot devices and Satellite phones.
So far they have $700 in donations.
The Ground search and Rescue has also a put together a team for the tournament.
Winters says that there will also be a canteen available and all proceeds will go to the Ground Search and Rescue team.
She added that she looks forward to seeing everyone at the tournament.
