Lela Evans MHA Boat Planes Update

Lela Evans is the newly elected MHA for Torngat Mountains District since May 17, 2019.

Evans updated her constituents yesterday Thursday, June 27, 2019.

The information that she was given for travel on the boat plane is as follows:

“Anyone who has a reservation and is willing to travel without their vehicle can call the reservations at LMI and they will look after them. They will pay the same amount as they would have paid on the ferry. This is what was told to me, word for word.

The contact number for passengers to call is 1 855 896 2262. So you can make your travel reservations as if the boat is traveling on its original schedule. If the boat isn’t traveling you will be accommodated by traveling on the boat plane.

Evans will try to help people who run into problems with this service.

For freight and vehicles, the Astron will be heading North on Tuesday.

Unfortunately the Astron will only provide this service until the new boat gets on schedule.”
