Fundraiser for Family That Had a House Fire

There was a house fire here in Nain last Sunday, December 8th, 2019.

Heather Angnatok held a fundraiser for the Christensen family who lost everything in the fire.

According to her post on Facebook, she would like to take an opportunity to thank so many people who helped with the cold plate and bake sale on Tuesday for the Christensen family.

There were so many people that she simply cannot name them all in fear she’ll leave someone’s name out. You all know who you are.

People donated and cooked for the cold plates, baked goods for the sale, donated cash, helped put everything together and with the sale.

So many volunteers came forward, friends from Postville sent bags of donations and even organizations allowed their employees to assist.

Thank you so much, you all are so amazing.

So with the cold plate sale, the cake tickets, and cash donations, a total of $2,477 was raised on Tuesday for John and Joanne Christensen.

Just remember – Be kind to each other, you never know what others may be going through.
