Photographers Wanted for ‘The Humans of Labrador’ Project

A new project inspired by the world-famous Humans of New York blog is looking for photographers to share their pictures of the people of Labrador.

Titled “The Humans of Labrador,” the goal is to open eyes and conversations, and to connect the pictures and stories of Labrador to the shared story of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Memorial University’s Labrador Institute, the Tamarack Camera Club, based in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and the Newfoundland Quarterly are partnering on the project, which is benefiting from a Canada 150 foundation grant.

The work will be published on both the Labrador Institute and Tamarack Camera Club’s websites, and a selection of the portraits will be published on the Newfoundland Quarterly website as part of its recurring Portraits of Labrador feature.

Photographers from across Labrador are invited to get involved.

All submissions should include a photo and a brief story to accompany the image.

More information is available at the Tamarack Camera Club’s website at https://tamarackcameraclub.com.
