Pauktuutit has recently received some funding.
The funds are to raise awareness with respect to Cancer.
Geri Bailey is the Manager for Health and Policy with Pauktuutit.
She says they received about $630,000.00.
The funding came from the Public Health Agency to raise cancer awareness.
The project will be conducted in four Inuit regions.
Bailey says Pauktuutit is also working on another project with respect to Injury Prevention.
A workshop will be held in Makkovik in January that will be geared toward youth.
